Internet Telephone, Telephony / VoIP
BreezeCOM® Introduces Telephony Solutions Targeted at ISP's & Carriers
The BreezeACCESS wireless
internet telephony technology is cost-effective and delivers outstanding
performance to subscribers requiring mobile (roaming capable) Internet
telephone connection utilizing VoIP. ISPs and public operators, such as
local exchange carriers, who are building their subscriber base and experiencing
steady growth can easily afford to implement this solution. Once the wireless
infrastructure is in place, it can be scaled upward to support up to 7,000
subscribers per cell and can be deployed just about anywhere.
BreezeACCESS offers the
lowest "first subscriber" infrastructure cost in the industry, delivering
a highly scalable and effective solution for high speed, wireless Internet
access with simultaneous telephony support. The product line provides a
high performance, competitively priced alternative to wire-line technologies,
including regular copper wire, ISDN, ADSL and Cable modems. These products
support an aggregate traffic of 54 Mbps per location with a data transfer
rate of up to 3 Mbps per subscriber and provide simultaneous "toll" quality
telephony.
BreezeACCESS incorporates
a sophisticated RF technology to deliver reliable wireless connectivity,
enabling deployment of cells with a radius of over 8 miles (5 km) and reducing
the number of Base Stations required to effectively serve large areas.
BreezeACCESS employs wireless
packet switching technology and voice-over-IP transmission based on the
H.323 protocols. Wireless packet switching technology is the natural choice
for high-speed IP services, being much more efficient than traditional
circuit switching technology developed and optimized for voice traffic
only. The bandwidth is used only when information is transmitted, in contrast
to circuit switched WLL systems where the resources are blocked throughout
a session. The packet switching technology incorporated by BreezeCOM's
access products features flexible bandwidth allocation, allowing large
bandwidth on demand for burst transmissions.
