As a world-wide leader in the development of standard platform, enterprise wireless networking products, BreezeCOM, Inc., collaborates with the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) in the development of the new radio-based specification to increase computing and communications for mobile users. The specification code named Bluetooth will enable seamless voice and data transmission via wireless, short-range radio. This new technology will allow users to connect a wide range of devices easily and quickly without the need for cables, expanding communications capabilities for mobile computers, phones and other devices anywhere. All the radios listed below are easily upgradeable via firmware as these new standards become implemented.

The BreezeNET PRO.11 product line is a high performance wireless LAN system that operates at a high data rate of up to 3 Mbps. 15 Mbps aggregate throughput can be achieved by using WIX(tm) - multi-cell based Wireless Switched Ethernet configuration. Through a BreezeNET PRO.11 Access Point AP-10 PRO.11, any station equipped with an SA PRO.11 series adapter can communicate with other enterprise network resources such as servers, printers, Internet and shared databases or with any other wireless station in the coverage area.

BreezeNET PRO.11 also delivers unmatched range and coverage, providing reliable connectivity over distances in excess of 1000 m in open spaces, and from 60-200 m in office environments. BreezeNET PRO.11 transmits data reliably at traveling speeds in excess of 70mph with its breakthrough " fast-roaming" protocol. BreezeNET PRO.11's fast-roaming assures packet delivery and full performance, enabling mobility while maintaining network connectivity in even the most complex layouts.

BreezeNET PRO.11 can be integrated easily and transparently into any LAN environment and is compatible with all major network operating systems. Any Ethernet-equipped workstation can be connected with BreezeNET PRO.11, including PCs, Macintosh and machine tools, servers, etc.

BreezeNET PRO.11 is the only wireless LAN product that connects X-Terminals, UNIX hosts, as well as SUN, HP, DEC, IBM and other workstations. No additional software or drivers are needed to install BreezeNET PRO.11.

BreezeNET PRO.11 has been developed in compliance with the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN standard, which assures investment security and future inter-operability with other standard-based wireless LAN products.

BreezeNET PRO.11 products use Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum radio that operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band allowing license-free installations. The SA-10 PRO.11 is transparent to workstation hardware and software, enabling plug & play installation. Users can communicate wirelessly with other enterprise network resources such as servers, printers, Internet, etc., or directly with any other workstation within its coverage area. The SA-10 PRO.11 enables mobility with freedom to roam inside the wireless LAN coverage area without losing network connectivity.

PCMCIA Adapters

Inserted in any PCMCIA slot in a notebook PC or handheld device, SA- PCs provide wireless access to the AP, and through it to the wired LAN and to other wireless stations.

Pictured below is our PC-Card station adapter, used in laptop systems that are in need of a mobile wireless connection to the LAN or Internet. Antenna is built on and folds up when not in use.

The BreezeNET PRO.11 Portable Computer product line is a high performance wireless LAN system that provides complete freedom from network cabling for portable computer users. The BreezeNET PRO.11 PC Card Adapter (SA-PCR PRO.11) is a miniature, easy to use, wireless LAN adapter. The SA-PCR PRO.11 allows direct wireless communication of a laptop, notebook or other PCMCIA-capable portable computer with other wireless LAN stations within its coverage area.

BREEZENET DS.11 High Speed Wireless Network Radios - 11 Mbps

BreezeNET DS.11 Overview

The BreezeNET DS.11 high speed, wireless network is an IEEE 802.11-compliant product line designed to provide indoor client/server network configurations as well as long range point-to-multipoint links. The products use direct sequence, spread spectrum radio technology operating at a frequency of 2.4 � 2.4835 GHz, a part of the FCC's unlicensed Industrial, Science, Medical (ISM) band. Data is transmitted at a rate of 11 Mbps, providing network users with full 10BASE-T Ethernet speeds.

The DS.11 product line is comprised of two distinct product line sets: one for indoor client/server applications and another primarily for outdoor, longer range network-to-network and client-to-network connections.

BreezeNET DS.11

Next Generation

BreezeCOM has started development of a higher speed wireless LAN product, which is being designed to have data rates of up to 54 Mbps. A high-speed digital processing modem is also under development.

Further BreezeCOM products under development include radio technologies that will allow for the operation of its future products in the license-free 5.3 GHz and 5.7 GHz frequency bands. The FCC has designated the 5.3 GHz band as the unlicensed national information infrastructure (U-NII) access radio frequency.
