DSL?:

DSL service has eluded the Wood River Valley for a long time. SVIdaho.net does have the capabilities to offer DSL at this time. The reason we are not actively promoting this serivce is the cost would be extremely high for the service provided. Unfortunatly the only way to offer DSL at this time is to utilise the closest DSL router which is in Boise. With the router so far away, the cost of a constant long distance connection would have to be passed along to the subscriber resulting in astronomical monthly fees.

At the moment SVIdaho.net is patiently waiting for Qwest to place a DSL router in the Wood River Valley so we can add DSL to the internet services we provide. Once this happens we will give the option to all subscriber to upgrade or stay with the 56k connection.
