Getting kicked off?:

SVIDaho.net does have time limits to it internet connection. They are:

  • After 20 minutes of no computer activity SVIdaho.net will disconnect
  • After 3 hours of continuous use SVIdaho.net will disconnect
SVIdaho.net has a set number of available connection lines for users. These limits are in place to keep lines availiable for all SVIdaho.net users, and keep busy signals to a minimum. Web surfing, downloading, send/receiving email, any activity over the internet will all keep the connection open. If you are bumped after 3 hours of use, just re-dial to renew the connection for another 3 hour period.

These two time limits are the only reason that SVIdaho.net will disconnect a user and they will happen exactly at the time limits above.

Other reasons that a computer will become disconnected are:

  • the internet connection signal has become to weak to sustain a conneciton.
  • incoming calls, call waiting, etc. depending how your phone line is configured
  • settings of your internet connection or email set to disconnect after a certain period of time.
