Svidaho.net will be discontinuing Internet access services on 1/31/06. Wood River Technologies, Inc Svidaho.net's parent company has grown in other directions and our ISP services are no longer competitive with cable or other high-speed connections.
Most of our present Svidaho.net customers have been clients since our inception and we thank you for the many years of business. In order to continue to access the internet you will have to make other arrangements.
Here are a few companies that offer dial-up Internet access:
- Net Zero http://www.netzero.net/
- Earthlink http://www.earthlink.net/
- AOL http://www.aol.com/
Cable is a little more expensive, but the increase in speed is worth the cost www.cox-internet.com.
For those of you using your Svidaho.net account for email purposes, we can extend the option of email forwarding until you establish a new email address with another provider, the cost for this service is $25.00 for 3 months. Call (208) 726-5553 ext.23 to arrange for forwarding services.
Web Hosting:
If you have a personal web site set up at Svidaho.net it will, at your descretion, continue to be hosted gratis for a period of at least 3 months. You can still access your site through FTP using your new Internet provider to upload and download files, even after we discontinue dial-up service. This should give users sufficient time to migrate their site to another service without interruption. Commercial web hosting clients can continue to host their site at Svidaho.Net indefinitely for a fee of $25/month.
Billing:
If your account is automatically charged monthly, your last charge will be January 2, 2006. If you pay by check you will receive an invoice in early January which will serve as your final bill. If you have paid quarterly, half-yearly or annually you will be refunded the balance after January 06 payment. All billing questions should be directed to: Accounting department (208) 726-5553 ext. 17.
